Information Stored by the App

The app stores the information needed for features you choose to use. This may include habit names and schedules, icons, energy values, completion logs, streak history, rewards and redemption history, reminder settings, app preferences, and Pro entitlement state.

This information is used only to provide habit check-ins, energy and rewards, reminders, progress views, widgets, data export, and related app functionality.

Local Storage and iCloud

Habit Tracker stores app data on your device. On supported devices, it also uses Apple's private iCloud and CloudKit services so supported app data can sync between devices signed in to your Apple Account. If iCloud is unavailable, the app may use local storage instead.

Your iCloud data is handled by Apple under your Apple Account, device settings, Apple terms, and Apple privacy policy. AlgoLab LLC does not operate a server that receives or stores your habit database.

Notifications

If you enable a habit reminder and grant permission, the app schedules local notifications on your device. Reminder content and schedules are handled by iOS. Habit Tracker does not use an AlgoLab push-notification server and does not send promotional notifications.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Habit Tracker Pro subscriptions, purchase restoration, receipts, transactions, refunds, and payment details are handled by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store.

The app checks Apple transaction status to unlock Pro features. AlgoLab LLC does not receive your full payment card details from Apple.

Data Export and Sharing

You can create a JSON export of your habit data. The export stays on your device until you choose a destination through the iOS share interface. Once you send the file to another app or service, that provider handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.

Privacy-Preserving Product Analytics

Habit Tracker uses TelemetryDeck to understand whether the app is useful and where its main flows can be improved. Analytics events may include screens viewed; whether a habit or reward was created, updated, completed, skipped, or redeemed; broad energy and reward-goal ranges; reminder permission status; notification actions; rating-prompt eligibility; data-export use; and purchase-flow status.

We do not intentionally send habit names, reward titles, selected icons, reminder times or notification text, completion dates, exported files, support messages, email addresses, Apple Account information, payment details, or a custom user identifier to TelemetryDeck.

TelemetryDeck may process an installation-scoped identifier that is anonymized by its SDK and service, a timestamp rounded to the hour, and technical metadata such as app version, operating-system version, device model, language, locale, and distribution environment. TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses. We use this information only for product analytics.

The app contains no third-party advertising, does not use the advertising identifier, does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, and does not track activity across other companies' apps or websites.

Support Communications

If you contact us, we may process information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address, device and app version, screenshots, exported data, and message content. We use it to answer your request, troubleshoot problems, and improve support.

Service Providers

We rely on providers only as needed to distribute, operate, measure, and support the app and these public pages. They may include Apple for App Store distribution, StoreKit purchases, iCloud, CloudKit, device backups, and operating-system services; TelemetryDeck for privacy-preserving product analytics; Cloudflare for hosting this page; and email providers for support communications.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local data remains until you delete records in the app where supported, remove the app, or erase device data. iCloud data may remain in your Apple Account according to your settings and Apple's retention practices. You can export your data from Settings before deleting it.

Analytics data is retained according to our TelemetryDeck account settings and TelemetryDeck's service practices. Support messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, keep business records, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and improve support.

Children's Privacy

Habit Tracker is not designed to collect personal information from children through an AlgoLab account or backend. If you believe a child sent us personal information through support, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

International Processing

AlgoLab LLC is based in the United States. Support communications and website operations may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. Data protection laws may differ from those where you live.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards for support systems and public pages. Protection of local and iCloud data also depends on your device passcode, Apple Account security, iCloud settings, and Apple's platform protections. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the app changes or when clarification is needed. We will change the “Last updated” date when we do.
