AlgoLab LLC operates Scoreboard. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you keep score, save match history, share results, use iCloud Sync, or purchase Scoreboard Pro.

Scoreboard is designed as a local-first scorekeeper. It does not require an AlgoLab account and does not use an AlgoLab backend to store your match data.

Information Stored in the App

Scoreboard stores match and preference data on your device so the app can work across sessions. This may include team or player names you enter, scores, timers, match templates, match results, saved history, display settings, theme preferences, Pro entitlement state, and whether iCloud Sync is enabled.

This information is used to provide the app features you choose, such as live scoring, undo and redo, saved history, result sharing, display preferences, and iCloud Sync.

Local Storage and iCloud Sync

By default, match history and settings are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad. Local-only data is not sent to AlgoLab LLC.

If you enable iCloud Sync, the app uses Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services to sync supported history and settings across devices signed in to your Apple account. This syncing is provided by Apple. Your use of iCloud is subject to Apple's terms, privacy policy, and your device settings.

Purchases

Scoreboard offers Scoreboard Pro as a one-time in-app purchase. Purchases, restore purchases, receipts, transactions, refunds, and payment details are handled by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store.

The app checks Apple transaction status to unlock Pro features. AlgoLab LLC does not receive your full payment card details from Apple.

Sharing Results

The app lets you share match results as text or an image through the iOS share sheet. Sharing only happens when you choose to share. Once you select another app or service, that app or service handles the shared content under its own terms and privacy policy.

No Advertising Tracking

Scoreboard does not use the advertising identifier, does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, and does not track your activity across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes.

Support Communications

If you contact us for support, we may process the information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address, device details, app version, screenshots, and the content of your message. We use this information to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, and improve the app.

Service Providers

We rely on service providers only as needed to operate and distribute the app and support pages. This may include Apple for App Store distribution, purchases, iCloud, and crash or operating-system services; Cloudflare for hosting this policy and support page; and email providers for support communications.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it in the app where supported, clear app data, or uninstall the app. iCloud-synced data may remain in your Apple iCloud account according to your iCloud settings and Apple's retention practices.

Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and improve support.

Children's Privacy

Scoreboard is not designed to collect personal information from children through an AlgoLab account or backend service. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

International Processing

AlgoLab LLC is based in the United States. Support communications and website operations may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate. Data protection laws in those places may differ from the laws where you live.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards for our support systems and public web pages. For local and iCloud data, security also depends on your device passcode, Apple ID security, iCloud settings, and Apple's platform protections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes or when we need to clarify how information is handled. When we update the policy, we will change the "Last updated" date above.
