AlgoLab LLC operates Scoreboard. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you keep score, save match history, share results, use iCloud Sync, use anonymous product analytics, or purchase Scoreboard Pro.

Scoreboard is designed as a local-first scorekeeper. It does not require an AlgoLab account and does not use an AlgoLab backend to store your match data.

Information Stored in the App

Scoreboard stores match and preference data on your device so the app can work across sessions. This may include team or player names you enter, scores, timers, match templates, match results, saved history, display settings, theme preferences, Pro entitlement state, and whether iCloud Sync is enabled.

This information is used to provide the app features you choose, such as live scoring, undo and redo, saved history, result sharing, display preferences, and iCloud Sync.

Local Storage and iCloud Sync

By default, match history and settings are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad. Local-only data is not sent to AlgoLab LLC.

If you enable iCloud Sync, the app uses Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services to sync supported history and settings across devices signed in to your Apple account. This syncing is provided by Apple. Your use of iCloud is subject to Apple's terms, privacy policy, and your device settings.

Purchases

Scoreboard offers Scoreboard Pro as a one-time in-app purchase. Apple processes the payment through StoreKit and the App Store. RevenueCat provides product-offering retrieval, receipt and transaction validation, purchase restoration, entitlement management, and purchase analytics so the app can unlock Pro features reliably.

RevenueCat may process an automatically generated anonymous RevenueCat App User ID, app and device metadata, offering and product identifiers, receipt and transaction information, purchase and refund status, and entitlement state. We use this information for app functionality and purchase analytics, not for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Scoreboard does not send RevenueCat your name, email address, a custom account identifier, match data, or the advertising identifier. Apple handles your full payment-card details; neither AlgoLab LLC nor RevenueCat receives those full card details.

Privacy-Preserving Product Analytics

Scoreboard uses TelemetryDeck to understand whether the app is useful and where its main flows can be improved. Analytics events may include screens viewed and active foreground time spent on a screen; match starts, completions, and abandonments; template type, timer mode, win-by-two setting, and broad ranges for team count, score-action count, match duration, and remaining free matches; free or Pro status; result-sharing, history-deletion, backup, and iCloud Sync actions; and paywall, purchase, and restore-flow sources, triggers, and outcomes.

We do not intentionally send match titles, team or player names, raw scores, match or history identifiers, exported backup files, email addresses, RevenueCat customer identifiers, receipts, prices, payment details, or other user-entered match content to TelemetryDeck.

TelemetryDeck may process an anonymized installation-level identifier, a timestamp rounded to the nearest hour, and technical metadata such as app version, build number, operating-system version, device model, language, locale, screen and accessibility settings, and distribution environment. TelemetryDeck states that it never stores IP addresses.

Scoreboard enables this limited, privacy-preserving product analytics by default. You can turn “Anonymous usage analytics” off at any time in Scoreboard Settings under Privacy. Turning it off stops new TelemetryDeck events without affecting your match data, core features, or Pro access.

This analytics choice controls TelemetryDeck usage analytics only. RevenueCat continues to process the limited purchase information described above when needed to load the Pro offer, validate or restore purchases, and maintain Pro access.

App Store Privacy Categories

For Apple's App Privacy disclosure, TelemetryDeck processes Product Interaction and Device ID for Analytics. RevenueCat processes Purchase History for App Functionality and Analytics.

Scoreboard reports these categories as not linked to the user and not used for tracking. The app does not create an AlgoLab account, identify you to RevenueCat with a custom user ID, send identifying contact or match information to TelemetryDeck, or combine these data with third-party data to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Sharing Results

The app lets you share match results as text or an image through the iOS share sheet. Sharing only happens when you choose to share. Once you select another app or service, that app or service handles the shared content under its own terms and privacy policy.

No Advertising Tracking

Scoreboard does not use the advertising identifier, does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, and does not track your activity across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes.

Support Communications

If you contact us for support, we may process the information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address, device details, app version, screenshots, and the content of your message. We use this information to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, and improve the app.

Service Providers

We rely on service providers only as needed to distribute, operate, measure, and support the app and these public pages. They may include Apple for App Store distribution, StoreKit purchases, iCloud, CloudKit, device backups, and operating-system services; RevenueCat for purchase validation, entitlement management, and purchase analytics; TelemetryDeck for privacy-preserving product analytics; Cloudflare for hosting this page; and email providers for support communications.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it in the app where supported, clear app data, or uninstall the app. iCloud-synced data may remain in your Apple iCloud account according to your iCloud settings and Apple's retention practices.

Analytics data is retained according to our TelemetryDeck account settings and TelemetryDeck's service practices. Turning off “Anonymous usage analytics” stops new TelemetryDeck events but does not retroactively delete data already processed. Purchase and transaction records may remain with Apple and RevenueCat as reasonably needed to validate purchases, restore access, prevent fraud, keep required business records, and meet legal obligations.

Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and improve support.

Children's Privacy

Scoreboard is not designed to collect personal information from children through an AlgoLab account or backend service. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

International Processing

AlgoLab LLC is based in the United States. Support communications, website operations, purchase services, and limited analytics data may be processed in the United States, the European Union, or other countries where our providers operate. Data protection laws in those places may differ from the laws where you live.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards for our support systems and public web pages. For local and iCloud data, security also depends on your device passcode, Apple ID security, iCloud settings, and Apple's platform protections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes or when we need to clarify how information is handled. When we update the policy, we will change the "Last updated" date above.
